East Lansing, Mich. --- The Michigan State University Department of Police and Public Safety has promoted five members of its team. Steve Brandman has been promoted to captain, and Erin Held, Jessica Mitchell, Aaron Schroeder and Jeremy Patchett have been promoted to lieutenant.

These promotions recognize officers who have consistently shown up for the MSU community, given their best in their work, and helped the people around them grow. In their new roles, they will take on greater responsibility for leading teams and shaping how the department serves students, faculty, staff and visitors.

The department is proud to have these five leaders on its team.

The promotions also show what a career with MSU Police can offer: real opportunities to grow, to lead, and to make a lasting difference for the Spartan community.
